On March 25, the inaugural meeting of Subcommittee 2 on Filtration and Separation Textiles of the National Technical Committee on Technical Textiles of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC606/SC2) was held in Guangzhou. The meeting was attended by Li Lingshen, Vice President of the China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC) and Chairman of SAC/TC606; Peng Xiaoting, Director of the Standardization Technical Management Department of the Standardization Administration of China (SAC); Liu Yongtan, Investigator of the Standardization Office of the Guangdong Provincial Administration for Market Regulation; and Dang Hua, General Manager of the GTTC, who all delivered speeches at the inaugural ceremony. The meeting was chaired by Feng Wen, President of the Textile and Apparel Testing Institute of GTTC and Vice Chairman of SAC/TC606/SC2. Other attendees included Li Guimei, President of the China Nonwovens and Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA) and Vice Chairman of SAC/TC606; Li Yuhao, Chief Engineer and Chairman of SAC/TC606/SC2; Wang Guojian, Director of the Science and Technology Department of CNTAC; Fang Pengfei, Deputy Director of the Standardization Office of the Guangzhou Municipal Administration for Market Regulation; Deng Suixing, Deputy General Manager of GTTC; along with more than 60 committee members.

The establishment of SAC/TC606/SC2 marks a significant milestone in aligning with national strategic needs, promoting high-quality development of filtration and separation materials, and improving the standardization system for technical textiles. It is expected to drive technological progress, foster synergies among industry, academia, and users in standard development, and enhance China's influence in international standardization. During the event, participants visited GTTC and held discussions on the development of standardization bodies and systems in the technical textiles sector.
